A Dream for the Future
Josh and I really love going on vacation to the beach. We are beach people through and through. Josh is a water baby to the core and I'm a sun worshiper (skin cancer be damned!) so we truly cherish our time at the beach. We've gone to the Outer Banks of NC, Sarasota, FL, and on 2 Caribbean cruises.
One of my dreams for the future is that we're in a position (both financially and time-wise) to take a beach vacation every year.
I refuse to let us turn into a couple who never takes a vacation. Even when kids enter the picture, I hope we can continue our yearly beach vacation tradition. This may seem like a frivolous dream to some, but it's important to us that we take a break from life every so often. And damn it, come Hell or high water (or high tide, as the case may be), we will.
Well, this wraps up my 30 Day Blog Journal! (Even though there is one more day in September. Ps, WHERE did September go?) It was a really fun experience and a great way to force myself to blog every day, but I'm glad it's over. There is a lot I want to write about! I'm so excited to get started.
I love the beach too! Keep up the tradition, even if it's somewhere nearby. Can't wait to read what you have to say.
ReplyDeletewe are TOTAL beach babes as well! Aa loves the water, A {that would be ME} LOVES the sun!!! That would be why we were PUMPED to be married in Cabo! :) xo -A
ReplyDeleteOh, I totally agree. It's super important for me and my fiance to take regular vacations as well. And we are planning to have a family, and we plan to take our children with us and show them the world while we vacation. (Of course, I know there will be getaways for just the two of us, with grandparents babysitting as well.) Great goal!
ReplyDeleteThat's SUCH a good dream for the future. Wrapped up in that is the commitment to taking time out for each other and for something that you both love - Both important things. I definitely am the same way. I want us to travel as much as possible for as long as possible - There's so much to see out there! :)
ReplyDeleteI hate to say this but OSU fans are just as horrible, if not worse than us. Playing (and beating ;) ) OSU in 2 national championships in the past 5 years, I can tell you from really bad personal experiences.
ReplyDeleteWe started to attribute it as a State of Ohio thing though as Cincinnati fans are outrageously rude too! (The language that came out of their mouth, woah!)
That is a really really good goal. I LIKE IT. I think I'll make this my plan as well. Kids or no kids, no matter where we live- VACAY NECESSARY.
